Trial Information For Epyon and Cavalier

Recruitment Procedure

The trial process beings upon the invitation of a person by 3oD[Demure] to attempt to join the clan. If the person who is interested in joining 3oD has a previous history of hacking or if there are reservations or concerns among 3oD members about the person, then a preliminary vote will be taken to determine whether the person will be allowed to even begin the trial process. This procedure takes place immediately after the invitation from 3oD[Demure] to attempt to join clan 3oD. A voting list of active members is created, and then these members vote on whether the person in question will be allowed to begin their trial process. The potential 3oD member must receive a simple majority in order for their trial process to proceed.

If the person passes their preliminary vote, or if they did not require one, then they will begin a two week trial period in which they get to know and are known in more depth by the members of 3oD. At the end of the trial period, a list of 3oD members who were active during the trial period of the potential candidate is created, and this list of members will then decide whether the candidate will be able to join clan 3oD.

The voting period itself will take place immediately following the trial period and will last a total of one week. In order for the applicant to be accepted into 3oD, they must receive at least one less than the total amount of votes cast approving their acceptance. For example, if there are 6 members on the voting list for a particular candidate, then at least 5 members must vote yes. If there are 5 members on the list then at least 4 must vote yes in favor of the applicant. Upon receiving the required amount of votes, the applicant will then receive a final verdict from 3oD[Demure]. Upon the approval of 3oD[Demure], the applicant is now an official member of clan 3oD.

On another note, you need to start considering the possibility that Epyon may not get in. You're making it seem as if you'll only join if Epyon is also accepted. If that's the case, then you need to say so because you'll just be wasting everyone's time otherwise. If you're still intent on joining whether Epyon makes it or not then that's great.

Yeah I don't want to be misread, so before this goes any further my aka is -=^IcY^=- or CaVaLieR, my partner is EpYoN = TtS. I grew interest in joining 3oD the past month or so. I was caught hacking 2-3 years ago. I have recorded more than enough times to back up my legitamacy. I thought TtS and I could be a great asset in this clan considering we are a capital team. If he is not allowed to join for earlier incidents then grudges shall be held and that's that. I still wish to join and TtS will still remain my partner.

That being said goes to show your not as ambitious as most of your clan members are. That's fine, but it wouldn't be a clan, nor would it be a dominant clan. DeMuRe is a good leader for letting you put your two cents in on the clan, but I'm beginning to wonder why? Your argument is a classic strawman fallacy. In other words, you're putting words into my mouth.

I never said you needed to beg and plead to join this clan. That's a stupid thing to say, and a dishonest one at that. I never even implied that, regardless of what your overly sensitive feelings might be telling you.

What I AM saying (read carefully here) is that you are not doing 3oD any favors by joining or trying to join. 3oD might not be the most active clan, but we have several solid members and a foundation of trust among most members built up over years. Whatever your perceptions of the clan may be, the fact is that YOU are the one who is trying to join 3oD. 3oD did not actively go out of its way to recruit you. If you think the clan is "half dead" and that members like me are "power tripping", then you can carry your whiny ass back to whatever two-week old clan you came from. The fact that YOU are attempting to join 3oD means that you have to defer somewhat to the impositions of the clan you are trying to join. Which means accepting the opinions of some clan members (myself) without getting defensive. Part of the process of joining a clan is going through the vetting of senior members. I have barely said more than a few mildly antagonistic things about you to test your mettle, and twice you've you've flared up with these unwarranted personal attacks.

In other words, show some humility. This does not mean "begging and pleading", but simply not acting as if you are the saving grace of a dying clan. This also means curtailing your massive ego and your bravado, at least until you have actually managed to join. Then you can pump your chest and say whatever you want. But as far as 3oD needing to treat you as if you were the last word in sniping, you can forget about that. You're just another sniper trying to join the clan and as soon as you realize that your path into 3oD will go all the more smoothly.

So yea, with the gracious permission of Demure (another classy insult on your part), I'll be putting my two cents in a lot more in the near future whether you like it or not. If you have a problem, then I'm sure zL recruiting.
