New SC2 Custom Map: I R Sniper (Remake of the original SC1 Brood Wars)

Yea Base...that's sort of what i want to do next. I feel like the game isn't getting as much hype as i had hoped for. There is a great fan base building, but it's still small. I play with a good number of people on the regular. There are about 20 people that play regularly..maybe more. I want to sort of unite them all under one forum maybe or website. I could use this forum...sounds like a good idea. However, Sinaps is working on a website at the moment but it is pretty much JUST started. Not sure which to use at the moment. Do you feel this forum is real active? If so...i could add it into the next version on the load screen.

That is the forum that was meant for starcraft Broodwar Snipers. On that forum we hosted many leagues.. and is where all of SCBW Snipers got organized.

We recently created this website for SC2 Snipers..

95 percent of the members on here play snipers for Starcraft broodwar... Most are not as active as they were.. saying that game is 10 years old.

I'd say 10 percent of the 103 members we have.. actually have the sc2 beta... But most of these members are planning on buying starcraft 2.

I'd say add both.. the more sites for snipers.. the better.

That's true...more sites would be awesome. I just want to make sure everyone knows to visit both. i could add links to one to go to the other too. Off Topic: Hey Base...Sinaps told me u were wanting to do a video of the map. I'd really appreciate that actually. I've been wanting to make a video but don't have fraps and couldn't get my livestream working appropriately.

To be honest, and I have not visited the other site, there are more pros/competition on this site in-spite its' inactivity (6 posts a day if that). Also it would be cool if you added the link to that site; I know nothing about it.

I think a video of the new sniper map is a good idea since many people here (including myself) have yet to play a full game of the map (preferably people who know what they are doing); I think that would be interesting.

No one wants to visit both, and having two sites for a near-identical purpose is just idiocy, nevermind making it overly difficult for new people to join the community. Just ask for a subforum here specifically for your map and hopefully one of the mods will not be a dick and give you it. Or maybe I can do it myself, I'm not really sure to be honest.


Base, your gameplay video flashes every few seconds and it's impossible to watch.

We appreciate your offer Sniper. It was a good idea for sure, but I wasn't going to make a decision without collaborating with the rest of them. We had already put work into the forums we created and wanted to keep them. I'm sure 2 forums isn't going to make or break anything. There are multiple forums on any one topic all over the web...i'm not sure why SC2 Snipers has to be an exception. I'm sure people will find it in their hearts to visit both
