Change the date details of Posts.
How about changing the post details from it's default,
Title of thread
By insert name
20-5-2010 3:13 pm
Title of thread
By insert name
and
Title of thread
By insert name
Today 10:59am
and have it say this instead,
Title of thread
By insert name
2 minutes ago (once it reaches 60 minutes it changes to hours since the post)
Title of thread
By insert name
1 hour ago (once it hits 48 hours it changes to days since the post)
Title of thread
By insert name
5 days ago (after 7 Days it changes to the date of post)
Title of thread
By insert name
25-5-2010
And have it update the time automatically.
I get confused when I see a post where its time read 1 hour ahead of my clock and it takes me a few seconds to see if the post is recent or not.

You seem to care about these things. I mean we all know how to count our days right?

I just make it look too easy.

Yes but I shouldn't have to.

People just seem to get more and more lazy so it seems?

I just make it look too easy.

Why get a chair with wheels?
Why get a remote for a tv when you can simply get up and change the station by hand?
Or using an air blower instead of a broom?
You can call it lazy, I call it working smarter not harder.

So with new date details that you're suggesting, you're working a lot smarter? I thought that the default settings were making you work smarter.
Edit: Yes, I do agree that we should change the date details.

Changed how date is displayed.
The options for how the date is displayed are:
Normal - uses variables to determine how the date is displayed, some examples below.
m-d-y: 05-26-10
d-m-y: 26-05-10
F jS, Y: May 26th, 2010
jS F Y: 26th May 2010
Other values can be found here.
Yesterday/Today - that's what it used to be; shows "Yesterday" and "Today" for dates that fall in those periods.
Detailed - this is what is being used now; shows times such as "1 Minute Ago", "1 Hour Ago", "1 Day Ago", and "1 Week Ago".
Let me know if anyone doesn't like the way the date is or would prefer it another way.
