NES is definitely the best, Zelda, Megaman, SMB1,2,3, Tetris, NINJA TURTLES... Still have mine and use it often. Had to replace the 72pin connector recently - got tired of having to blow in it and wiggle the cartridge just right before it would work. (I have a hard time believing anyone born in the last 10-11 years would even be able to get one running)

Then again, maybe the PC is the best oldschool console. You can play all sorts of fun games (ahem, Starcraft) an even download emulators to turn it into your favorite old console.

Of course it's not really a console, but it really is the best thing out there. It traditionally had the most addictive games thanks to online play, and it can play the games of any oldschool console.
