Starcraft Snipers Commentary

By all means try to prove me wrong. If any of you can talk about something relevant in a snipers game for 21 minutes I'd be floored. There is nothing happening in the game to talk about, you have about 10 Effective APM and the enemy is guaranteed to be in one of three places, so you're inevitably left with an educated guess. A good game has what, 150 kills? And maybe a third of those are respawns? The vast majority of you don't understand what's happening with the physics system, so there's nothing you can say there except shit like "good angle by player x there!" or "shoutout to player y!"

Seriously, someone AIM me a link if you actually do this so I can have a good laugh. I could make maybe two or three decent videos explaining the concepts of Snipers, and then it'd be completely worthless because the strategy is utterly simple and the metagame is nonexistent. Since I can count on one hand people who actually understand those concepts, I hope one of you gives this a shot.

People are trying to find some excitement in Snipers, I don't think anyone is trying to relive the high point of the game. But people like you, come in here and whine about people trying to have fun, sort of puts a damper on it. What's the harm in trying? As far as me being "butthurt" that the game is dead, I don't give a fuck, I don't play anymore. I'm merely chiming in because you are a downer, and downers suck fat rhino chode. This is something you would see during a normal daily tournament when this game was alive. Plus.. this is mainly consisting of two clans.. hardly a revival of a game if you actually think about it.

Not to mention that if you count this list and give in the possibility of other snipers that may still actively play would amount to about 30-40 players.. Would you consider Diablo1, Team Fortress Classic, or Counter-strike 1.5 an alive game? To me they are dead because hardly anyone ever plays it anymore..

Poor children still think a game is alive when it clearly isn't... denial.. thats rough.

Okay.. now did you read my examples of other games with an extremely small player base? Do you consider those games to be still alive and kicking being that there are less than 100 active players playing games that were BIGGER than a UMS map in starcraft?

You sure Counterstrike 1.5 is still alive? Hardly any servers are running this version anymore, which means the player base is extremely small.. which indicates a dead game.
Team Fortress is another half-life mod like counter-strike, same scenario.
Diablo 1 would be an equivalent to Snipers IMO

Look at it this way, you and the 30-40 or so others that still play this game may think its alive, but I can only see you guys hosting a game and playing almost the same people every day. To me, that shows the game isn't a live, its a small group of players that still enjoy the game and just play it.

Alive = Hundreds of active players + Regular game improvements + Almost daily tournaments + An ACTIVE FORUM THAT REPRESENTS THE SNIPER GAME


To me.. none of those apply to snipers.. which means it is dead.

Come up with a better example of a game that is alive, and maybe your argument can be valid:P

Life and death is absolute. You are either ALIVE or you are DEAD.
same concept works with the game, its either alive or dead.. If people play then YES its alive, if people dont, then YES it is dead.

Seeing as how p'30-40' snipers still play, this game is alive, and will remain so, in fact New snipers show up every week.
Please stop posting that the game is dead, its not, if snipers isnt for u, then please stop dragging the game down with you.

Gfu. Still not very much.. we used to have over 400 active players back in the day, with atleast 100-200 playing very seldom.

Being its an offense to tell a rarely active forum that a game is dead, I will leave this subject be. Since none of you have any idea the difference between a game that is alive and one that is dead, its like talking to a wall. No worries though, I actually have fun playing entertaining and dynamic games nowadays, you can stick to your simple game and fight over who is #1 in it.

ANYWAYS, ANy more ideas for commentary?? I think we should give it a whirl for the league finals... that will give the announcer more things to talk about, IE the matches the players played to get to the finals....cool shots that happend....Ect..
