ACER ERC410M˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙? wtf is that LMAO
ok well good thing is it's socket 775. Bad thing is you have integrated video. I'm going to straight up suggest buy a new everything except for harddrive and monitor haha and this will probably mean a new operating system. I can't tell your powersupply from that info but I will just straight up recommend getting another one just because I don't think it would be good enough anywyas. sorry man lOL seems like really old xD
Remind me, you wanted to run this game how well? And on what budget?

Well I want to run it pretty smoothly I dont mind min settnigs or med settings but I want to be able to run it without having to close all my other programs and shit
Idk man I'd like something around 600 if possible, cheaper the better but I know these are fairly expensive... and I know my comp is OLD... well 3-4 years old = super old for comps lol

alright
well lets see
Newegg.ca - XFX GS250XYDFU GeForce GTS 250 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card $134
Newegg.ca - SAMSUNG 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 4X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 24x DVD Burner - Bulk LightScribe Support - CD / DVD Burners $24 but I don't know if you need this or not. it's an option haha but your old one might be recyclable
Newegg.ca - OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply $65 looks like it has good reviews. pretty cheap
Newegg.ca - NZXT M59 - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $53 I own this case haha but I am not using it right now, I built a comp for my mom in it. Very nice case, it's cheap
Newegg.ca - ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise Blue LED CPU Cooler $55 pretty common heatsink I've seen around, I've never used it though. Should be good to go for overclocking your core 2 duo
Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! $288
So let's see:
roughly $594 without taxes or shipping, without the dvd drive which you will probably eb able to recycle. With your screen size you should be able to run the game no problem on medium or maybe even high. Just get a friend you know to assemble the computer with / for you and help you overclock haha, or you can learn to do it online
If you also want you can invest in buying some extra fans too, but whatever.
I kinda rushed through this, I gotta go now LOL I'm late
EDIT:
Forgot the OS. LOL mb

@Ghosty
Is 45 - 50şC your idle temp? Also what temperature will you have while loaded; what will your temp be while playing a game + other programs running in the background?
____________Make em' laugh_______________

-
yeah that's my idle lol my load temps are like 75 ish and games.. idk lol i dont check games, its somewher ein between
-
I spent 500 on a new computer 3 months ago and it can run sc2 with everything maxed very easily.. suck it skid
-
haha well prices go up and down besides, you probably didn't have to build it from scratch. Upgrading components here and there is always cheaper. what are your specs?

ew i3. haha why dont you overclock it? a lot of people have gotten their i3s up to 4.9ghz and around that mark.
and temperature is nothing to brag about at stock LOL
but like i asked, did you build this from scratch or not, because it costs more if you build from scratch haha with case and PSU factoring into cost and shit
-
Administrator
No i didnt. Hate him anyway.
-
ew i3? Why is that ew? For cost to performance ratio i3 = the best out of that line of processors. I don't overclock it because I have no reason to... and I'm not bragging about temperature that was just included in that program you posted earlier.
Yes, I built it from scratch.
-
:P idk, just personally i would take my i5 over i3 any day!
a lot of people would say 'don't have a reason to' when in reality in a lot of situations the stock cpu is the bottleneck of your computers. you could be holding a $500 videocard back haha, but I'm just saying
so ANYWHO skid that's my basic outline for what to buy lol I did that in like 5 minutes because I was kinda rushing to get out the door, but something with similar specs to that should be good to go.
