How to Install/Play Starcraft:Broodwar without a CD

We'll begin with downloading Daemon Tools

This program allows you to mount ISO files (Virtual CD's)

After you have downloaded that we will move onto downloading Starcraft's ISO Files

(Do not use the key here, it will not allow you to play on Battle.net. If you want a key to play on Battle.net then please contact me)

Now you will need a program to download the ISO Files, due to this being a torrent. You can use any of the following.

(I would advise uTorrent, quickest and easiest. Below is a tutorial on how to boost speed for uTorrent as well)

(In the ISO's do NOT extract what you download for Starcraft: Broodwar)

After you have downloaded all the required files (ISO's) then install Daemon Tools.
(You may need to restart)

Now, in the bottom right hand side you should see a gray circle with a lighting bolt through it. Right click on this and choose to mount to the default CD drive. Choose to mount image and navigate where the ISO's where downloaded to.
(If you do not see two zipped files then, and only then you need to extract the file. But do not extract the following files)

Now you should see two files: One Starcraft and one Broodwar. Choose to mount Starcraft and it will open up Starcraft's installer as if you had the CD in. Put in the key and information. After installation is complete mount Broodwar instead and install like you would regularly.



Now if you already have Starcraft: Broodwar installed and wish to play without the CD then you can do it without additional programs.

Alternative method:

1. Go to http://battle.net.
2. Click on "Create or Manage a Battle.Net Account."
3. Create an account if you haven't already. Login to your account.
4. Under "Manage My Games," click "Add or Upgrade a Game."
5. Enter your StarCraft CD key. Brood War does not have its own CD key.
6. Once you have added SC, you can now click "Manage Game" and download the client.

Yeah, I thought maybe I'd post that but for people who don't have CD-Key ('Cause you need one to login, right?) then it wouldn't work out xD

Yeah, I ran into the problem of CDKey. They requested that I enter the 26 digit Starcraft CD Key, which was in use... Any ideas? The CD Key changer is outdated.
