      XBOX 360 : Project Natal

I dont know if any of you have seen this or watched E3 2009. But this is the future of gaming. Went from the Wii with motion controlled controllers to No controllers. Wii is in big trouble.

Firstly, it's not intended to replace the controller, but is meant to be used along with it. I like the idea a lot, especially the feature where it can guess the location of your body when parts are hidden.
Ultimately, however, the games will determine whether or not Natal will be successful, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for it planned when it comes out. Also, I read it uses up 10-15% of the Xbox's resources, resulting in less available for developers. The delay while in use isn't too pretty either, timed at around 100ms, making it less useful for games which need fast responses.
I hope it all works out, but it's not looking too good right now IMO.

Yeah I heard its supposed to be used alongside a controller.. Like a WII and xbox combined.. Its just xbox's answer to the WII.. But as Lazer said.. its no looking to good. This can probably be achieved easy but at what cost to the consumer.. And how much will people be willing to pay for a little bit extra added to their xbox? Although, as technology advances and the price drops it will probably be added.

Scary to think tho.. How far Video gaming has come in just the past couple of decades... Not to compare it to like space travel.. But video games could be the next thing that leads to major technology advancements to the public!

I wonder what video game systems will look like say when I'm 50...
