there seems to be no ranking system, dont understand that.

I miss the Awesome Halo Campaigns, I like multiplayer but not enough to play it only over and over..
Campaign is why i liked halo to begin with, its a shame they are veering away from that in video games.

YouTube - Nahtzee - The n00b effect
Watch this. Halo reach is great. The double melee's are still kind of frustrating but 75% melee damage in mlg settings or a longer cool down between melee's should fix it.

Campaigns were hard, Legendary On Halo 1, was intense and FUN.
Don't forget that's where halo came from.
Sure Multiplayer is fun, I play that also, but I'd rather them release Halo Campaign and Halo Multiplayer on 2 Separate Discs, its just frustrating to lose what first got me into halo.
I am not a big fan of graphics, I'd be perfectly happy to have halo 1 type graphics and a good solid story line.
In that video he says go read a book rent a movie.
Umm, or we could have a 'virtual book//movie' that you can interact with. AKA a CAMPAIGN WITH A GOOD STORY LINE.

the problem with what you prefer is, its the vast minority that wants what you want

No It's not
Halo lost a lot of gamers because all they focused on was the multiplayer.
They do whatever makes them the MOST Money.
Hmmm, map packs and DLC for online multiplayer. Whats easier to shit out?, mutliplayer or hard line and (thought out) story mode?
Multiplayer for sure.
I Guarantee if they released a halo game (offline), and promised a great campaign with bonus story, they'd sell the fuck out.
Halo Reach, at wal mart theres a huge fucking shelf overloaded with the game.
Remember halo 1 and 2? Sold out.

well they make enough for demand now, and the store i was at had 2 left when i picked it up and the cashier was talking about how they sold a shitload in just a few hours.
also, i havnt played the campaign but all the writeups about the game i saw beforehand said the campaign was top-notch.
also i dont believe halo1 was ever sold out? could be wrong there.

It was at hastings, and Gamestop here,
but dude remember halo 1 campaign? Huge ass levels Hours and hours of gameplay... badass secret spots to find.
I didnt even mind halo 2 campaign... But halo 3 i almost cried for real over a video game.
It was
so
...bad :[
Halo ODST..campaign...sad..sucked dick. had same levels as halo 3..wtf? But hella people bought it anyways....they are being cheap, anything for a buck. Fuck u bungie i want the classic game back! I did love halo 2 mutliplayer tho...was badass..BXR.. The Lockout map...Epic....
Halo Wars...wtf wow i shouldnt even post that name here.
Horribad.
I read the book series was badass.. they can do alot of shit for campaign out of the book..but i dont think they do.
I read a review and watched one on videogametrailers.

I really enjoyed Halo 1, but I think thats because it was so far ahead of anything else..not much to do with the campaign.. Halo 2 and 3 were OK games but not even close to what Halo was.
Imo the reason Halo Reach didnt have as much success as those 2 are because of COD and how people who used to play halo when there was nothing else. People have moved onto something a little more realistic.
Another theory I think could be the timing of when this game came out, in the pass month or so I have bought Starcraft 2, Madden 11, NHL 11...just don't have the money for Halo Reach. Im also pretty addicted to NHL now and dont even wanna play another game on X-Box.

What do you mean Reach didnt have any success?
it just came out on tuesday, and bungie stats shows that in the last 24 hours there have been this many accounts playing Reach [online only]: 2,184,678
seems like a success for 3 available days to me.
And thats just the start.

yea yourr right, im wrong... I thought sales were down from what oragami said, i didnt research anything before making the post, but he has no idea..
200 million in the first day is pretty good, but COD MW2 beat this by quite a margin with 310 million in the first day.

Yeah COD is more of an "everyone" enjoys it game, while i think halo you either like or hate it.
200 million $ in a day is pretty impressive either way.
Also to put into consideration is COD was available on all consoles and PC so it had an easy advantage
edit: that is also the most successful for a halo franchises first day sales

What you dont get is marketing, everyone bought halo wars everyone bought halo odst, Why? Because they can sell u anything juz cuz of what Halo 1 did to u.
I dare them to make a game like that again.

Halo wars would have been fucking sweet if you could zoom into first person mode when ever you wanted and join the battle field as a spartan. Then pan out and make structures/forces yet again.

Halo Reach is fucking sick.
The Campaign was better than ODST, they seem to have redeemed themselves.
Multiplayer rocked my fucking socks, i was up till 6 AM addicted.
AND THE BEST PART IS NO XBOX LIVE GOLD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED BABYY

lol at opinion flop,
guess u shouldnt have judged the book by the cover eh
what do u mean no gold membership required? for multiplayer play you do, do you not?
the one weird thing i noticed though is guests can play in teh "competitive mode" allthough the only 'real' ranked sections is the arena modes and pretty sure guests cant play there.
one thing that sucks is i use an 8gb flashdrive as my harddrive, so i cant play firefight mode or whatever its called because apparently you need an actual harddrive
-
naw im silver and i played all multiplayer cept arena

For those who are wondering which game type gives the most credits in Halo Reach, I've found that Cooperative > Score Attack > Gruntapocalypse can give you 1k to 2k credits in 10 minutes.
